The TWENTIES HOUSTON Poolside Pop-Up Shop

My time as a resident of H-town is coming to an end and after a well-needed year and a half, it's time to head back east! This impromptu relocation has been such a cathartic and productive experience, allowing me space and freedom to grow in all aspects of my life. Like a lot of our lives in #TheTwenties, the struggle was still very real, but for the first time since conceptualizing The TWENTIES Book, I felt comfortable and confident enough to explore these grand ideas that laid dormant in my mind. In New York I was either too busy, broke or befuddled (shoutout Taxstone) to develop anything past a plan to pay my bills so the idea of creating something of my own was so far-fetched.

Houston has been so great to me, I had to throw one last event before departing! My dream idea was to host the pop-up shop at the beautiful Levy Park, which was being constructed across from my apartment half of the time I lived in Houston. That didn't happen so I had to find another location. Sitting on my balcony writing - as I do a lot of the time - staring at the private pool in eye-shot of my common area EUREKA there it was A POOLSIDE POP-UP!

#SHOUTOUT to Zack, my super talented co-worker who drew my banner, and all my friends who showed love most notably Chayne a great friend from HU who surprised me after not seeing one another in IDK four years or so and roommate Kenia who helped keep me sane. Because it was projected to rain all day (and didn’t thankfully) I am more than grateful for the brave souls who made it out to The TWENTIES POOLSIDE Pop-Up Shop. #THANKYOU Houston for being what I needed when I needed it. It's been real!
