#SHOUTOUT 2 Chainz and The TRAP House
Now it’s time to say goodbye to one of the most memorable marketing campaigns this year or in hip-hop history - PERIOD, The TRAP House! Just a month after replicating the cover art of his fourth studio album PRETTY GIRLS LIKE TRAP MUSIC, 2 Chainz has decided to end the lease on the multi-purpose pink landmark and returned it back to the residents of Atlanta, GA. In addition to saluting the brilliance behind this innovative approach to promotion, I also want to take this time to recognize our good brother Tity Boi for his unique knack for getting it right every single time! Truly a visionary for the way he connects directly to his audience, whether it's the 'Dabbin Santa' sweaters during the release of Watch Out or his Habachi for Lunch mixtape apparel, 2 Chainz knows how to present each of his projects as an overall experience and continues to heighten the benchmark of expectation for his hip-hop competitors.
Even in the short amount of time The TRAP House stood just off of Chattahoochee Avenue, it's impact on the community and industry is undeniable. The epitome of serving the medicine through the candy, the TRAP House transformed from a promotional tool to a foundation for some purposeful service and engagement among the residents and visitors of Atlanta and everyone partook in the instagram frenzy. From a TRAP Church for the sinners to TRAP Clinic to spread awareness, the unforgettable powder pink TRAP House was many things for many people and I think I speak for all when I say, I'm sad to see it go (insert fluttering hand and head gesture).
#SHOUTOUT and Thank You 2 Chainz again for giving fans this moment in hip-hop and classin up the TRAP for a change!
